WHY TRAIN WITH US IN THE NORTHERN RIVERS
Ready to get started? Enroll now or Get in touch to register your interest and we’ll let you know our next intake date.
ECHAM Training is based in East Lismore, on Bundjalung Country. The Federal Court has recognised the native title of the Widjabul Wia-bal people over land around Lismore, and Bundjalung communities across the region are central to how Country is cared for and rebuilt. Since the 2022 floods, school rebuilds and riverbank restoration projects across the Northern Rivers have included Aboriginal cultural heritage assessments and cultural site walk-overs with Traditional Owners.
That work needs trained people on every side, from site crews and council staff to Aboriginal rangers and heritage workers. As a local, Aboriginal-owned RTO, we deliver cultural heritage, conservation and business training across Lismore, Ballina, Byron Bay, Tweed Heads and Casino, combining online study with practical on-Country sessions.
COURSES IN DEMAND IN THE NORTHERN RIVERS
Our head office is in East Lismore, NSW. We train students across the Northern Rivers, including Lismore, Ballina, Byron Bay, Tweed Heads and Casino, as well as wider NSW and Queensland. Contact us to talk about your training.
Many rebuild and restoration projects in the Northern Rivers include Aboriginal cultural heritage assessment, and their management plans often require site inductions and unexpected finds procedures. Our Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Site Induction prepares crews for this. Check each project’s conditions for its exact requirements.
