Tim Roberts
Director & Principal Archaeologist, ECHAM Training
Tim Roberts is the Director and Principal Archaeologist at ECHAM Training and its parent consultancy, East Coast Heritage & Archaeology (ECHA). With hands-on experience across cultural heritage assessment, site identification, and on-Country fieldwork throughout NSW and Queensland, Tim brings practical, industry-grounded knowledge to every course he delivers.
Tim holds connections to the Worimi community and works closely alongside Traditional Owners, Elders, and cultural authorities to ensure training is delivered respectfully and in genuine partnership with community. He is also a NSW Justice of the Peace.
Beyond the classroom, Tim leads ECHA’s tender and project work on heritage assessments and Aboriginal cultural heritage approvals across the east coast, and has delivered training to ranger groups and Local Aboriginal Land Councils, including at the NSW Aboriginal Ranger Gathering. This direct field experience shapes ECHAM’s approach to training — practical, current, and built around what learners will actually encounter on Country.
