ECHAM Training (East Coast Heritage & Management Training) is a registered training organisation (RTO 46476), approved to deliver and assess the qualifications, skill sets and short courses listed below. Our scope covers nationally recognised training in Aboriginal cultural heritage, land and ecosystem management, and business and leadership.

How Our Courses Are Delivered

Most ECHAM Training qualifications are delivered through a hybrid model — combining flexible online learning with scheduled face-to-face and On Country practical sessions, where required by unit outcomes and assessment conditions. This allows learners to progress theory content at their own pace while ensuring hands-on, real-world competency where it matters most.

Typical duration: Certificate III, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma qualifications generally take 6–12 months to complete, depending on the qualification, your prior experience, and how quickly you progress through learning and assessment.

Cultural heritage & land management

AHC51120 is a higher-level qualification for people who plan, lead and coordinate conservation and land management projects. It is ideal for supervisors, project officers and emerging leaders responsible for on-ground programs, restoration works and environmental initiatives.

Diploma of Conservation and Ecosystem Management

This qualification is for people involved in identifying, recording and caring for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural sites and landscapes. It supports community-led cultural heritage work under the guidance of Elders, Traditional Owners and cultural authorities.
