Tim holds connections to the Worimi community and works closely alongside Traditional Owners, Elders, and cultural authorities to ensure training is delivered respectfully and in genuine partnership with community. He is also a NSW Justice of the Peace.
Beyond the classroom, Tim leads ECHA’s tender and project work on heritage assessments and Aboriginal cultural heritage approvals across the east coast, and has delivered training to ranger groups and Local Aboriginal Land Councils, including at the NSW Aboriginal Ranger Gathering. This direct field experience shapes ECHAM’s approach to training — practical, current, and built around what learners will actually encounter on Country.
Most ECHAM Training qualifications are delivered through a hybrid model — combining flexible online learning with scheduled face-to-face and On Country practical sessions, where required by unit outcomes and assessment conditions. This allows learners to progress theory content at their own pace while ensuring hands-on, real-world competency where it matters most.
Typical duration: Certificate III, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma qualifications generally take 6–12 months to complete, depending on the qualification, your prior experience, and how quickly you progress through learning and assessment.

For people involved in identifying, recording and caring for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural sites and landscapes, supporting community-led heritage work under the guidance of Elders, Traditional Owners and cultural authorities.

Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Induction
A short, practical induction covering what Aboriginal cultural heritage is, how to identify it, legal obligations, and how to respond appropriately if heritage is encountered during work. Available online for individuals or as face-to-face group delivery for organisations and site teams.
